PT Amir Brothers Gasification is honoured to have been invited by PT Bukit Asam Tbk (“PT BA”) to participate as a speaker in its Transformation Series Talkshow, held on Wednesday, 19 November 2025. The event carried the theme “From Coal to Innovation – Shaping Bukit Asam’s Transformation Journey,” reflecting PT BA’s commitment to advancing coal downstreaming and industrial transformation.
The talkshow was opened by Mr. Turino Yulianto, Director of Downstreaming and Product Diversification of PT Bukit Asam, who emphasized the strategic importance of innovation and value creation in the coal industry. The main session was delivered by Mr. Jamil Amir, Vice President of PT ABG, who was invited as the keynote guest speaker to share insights and industry perspectives on coal gasification and coal-to-chemical development.
The event was attended by approximately 50 participants onsite and around 120 participants virtually, demonstrating strong engagement and interest PT BA in the future of coal transformation in Indonesia.
During the session, several strategic and technical topics were discussed, including:
- The strategic rationale for coal gasification and key challenges in implementing coal gasification projects in Indonesia
- Global and regional success stories of companies that have successfully implemented coal gasification
- An overview of the latest coal-to-chemical technologies, with a focus on operational excellence and reliability.

- Business feasibility and market potential of coal-based chemical products
- Regulatory frameworks and government policies supporting coal gasification development
The talkshow concluded with an in-depth and constructive technical discussion, highlighting the importance of technological readiness, regulatory alignment, and cross-industry collaboration in accelerating Indonesia’s coal downstreaming initiatives.
